Expertise in Custom Plastic Injection Molding

Collaboration shapes our work. We begin with clear objectives, then align engineering, materials, and technology to deliver reliable parts and measurable results in custom plastic injection molding and insert molding manufacturing.

Engineering

Strong outcomes follow careful planning. Our engineering team focuses on part geometry, tooling strategy, and stable processing for detailed components.

Capabilities:

  • Mold flow analysis to evaluate fill, pack, and cooling before steel is cut
  • SolidWorks for accurate CAD exchange and design collaboration
  • In-house mold maintenance by certified journeyman toolmakers to protect tool life

We optimize for manufacturability early so production starts clean and scales smoothly.

Materials

Material choice determines performance, cost, and appearance. We work with more than 450 grades and colors, including clear resins, conductive compounds, and thermoplastic elastomers. Guidance covers property targets, regulatory needs, and processing behavior for applications in appliance, consumer goods, agriculture, durable medical, electrical components, and industrial markets.

Customers use our experience to match resin families with part function and tooling intent, then validate on press.

Technology

Automation supports repeatability and short changeovers. Real-time monitoring and standardized work keep cycles stable across shifts.

Equipment and capabilities:

  • State-of-the-art electric and hydraulic molding machines
  • Press range of 40 to 250 tons tuned for intricate parts and delicate tooling
  • Automated part handling, vision checks, and data capture for traceability

This setup fits high-mix, specified-volume projects that need dependable throughput without long downtime.

Tooling

Tooling has a major influence on part quality and day-to-day consistency. EI’s internal tooling department supports mold build, maintenance, and repair with close attention to how each tool performs in production. That hands-on support helps the team address wear, make adjustments when needed, and keep projects on track.

Strong tooling support also helps extend tool life and reduce unnecessary disruption on the floor. With engineering, production, and tooling working closely together, EI can respond quickly and keep molding operations running with greater stability.

Quality

Engineering Industries is a UL recognized and ISO 9001 certified company. Quality is everyone’s responsibility. Our ISO 9001 system documents control plans, inspections, and reactions to variation so results stay consistent. Operators verify critical dimensions and appearance, while automated checks reinforce repeatability.

We act with ownership at each step, from setup to final pack, so parts ship ready for assembly.
