Our leadership team brings together decades of expertise in custom plastic injection molding, engineering, and operations, paired with a shared passion for building something greater than the sum of its parts. John Ballweg, P.E.

President

John joined Engineering Industries as a Project Engineer after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. John was fortunate to have great mentors in Ron Daggett and Dean VandeBerg for much of his career. John has focused on quality, continuous improvement, and production process development for much of his time at Engineering Industries. Today, as President, John leads the company in their efforts to provide customers with plastic parts and assemblies that are critical to their success. John is a Registered Wisconsin Professional Engineer.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, woodworking, and tinkering on home projects.

Matt Nelson, P.E.

Vice President, Engineering & Business Development

Following graduation from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Matt joined Engineering Industries as a Project Engineer in 1989. Matt is a Registered Professional Engineer.

For much of his career, Matt has focused on production process development, project management and customer support. During his tenure, Matt has had an integral role in the development of business processes, as well as customer relations. Today, as Vice President, Matt coordinates engineering and customer support operations in order to transform customer ideas into finished products.

“I look forward to the ideas, opportunities and challenges our customers present. Because we work on such a wide variety of parts for many different industries, it’s always interesting and no two days are the same.”

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, hands-on home projects, supporting the Green Bay Packers and traveling.

Sandy Bieringer, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Director of People Operations

Sandy joined Engineering Industries in 2022 and serves as Director of People Operations, where she leads the strategy and execution of the organization’s human resource function. In this role, she oversees HR programs, policies, and services, while guiding day-to-day people operations to ensure alignment with business objectives. Sandy is passionate about fostering a strong, values-driven culture and creating an engaging employee experience that supports both individual and organizational success.

With more than 25 years of experience in human resources, Sandy brings a depth of expertise across all facets of HR leadership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, and Adult Education, and maintains senior-level certifications from both HRCI and SHRM.

Outside of work, Sandy is an avid equestrian who enjoys riding and training in dressage. She also values time with family and friends, explores creativity through DIY projects, and enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.

Mitch Feller, CPA

Director of Finance

After spending 6 ½ years in public accounting, Mitch joined Engineering Industries in 2021 as the Controller. Mitch oversees the company’s financial activities and reporting. He is also the Plan Administrator of the company-sponsored Employee Stock Ownership Plan and 401(k) Savings Plan.

Mitch has a degree in Accounting from Edgewood College and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He resides in the Madison area with his wife and three children. Outside of work, Mitch enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and watching sports.

Craig Wadzinski

Director of Operations

Like other Engineering Industries alum, Craig began his career as a student during a summer internship. After earning his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Craig joined Engineering Industries in 1996 as a full-time Project Engineer. He later advanced to a Sr. Project Engineer, and currently oversees production among other things, as the Director of Operations.

Today, Craig has to bring together many areas of production. He uses his engineering expertise to help provide the best path for keeping production flowing smoothly throughout the plant. Additionally, when needed, Craig will provide manufacturing and engineering support, help rollout new projects, and lead training efforts.

When he is not hanging out at work, Craig enjoys spending time with family, driving around in the convertible, and winter sports like skiing and snowmobiling.
